Evangelion Provisional Unit-05 joins the "Artpla" model-kit lineup from Kaiyodo! As seen in "Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance," this pose-locked plastic model kit is based on the activation in the opening scene, where the distinctly designed Unit-05 duels with the Third Angel at Bethany Base. The drawing reference model by sculptor Akira Tani, which served as reference for animators during the production process, and the original master model for the action figure were 3D-scanned to create this model kit; the scale has been increased to ensure greater detail and ease of assembly. Features that could not be fully reproduced at the time have now been updated for this new model kit! The shape of the pantographs equipped on the shoulder armor has been adjusted to match the concept art, resulting in a more precise finish. You can choose to build the head shape and the Spear of Longinus (pseudo-reconstruction type) from either the in-movie model, or the drawing reference model that actually appears in the film.
