Airfix 1/72 North American B-25C/D Mitchell
This twin-engine medium bomber is famously known for its use in the Doolittle Raid, the first bombing of the Japanese homeland. The B-25B was the model used in the raid, but after improvements, the C/D models were mass-produced (the different suffixes indicate the manufacturing companies).
It was a very durable and versatile aircraft, serving as an anti-submarine patrol aircraft off the coast of Florida and as a bomber targeting bases in North Africa.
Two decal options are included:
- U.S. Army Air Force, Tampa, Florida, B-25C "Lady Jane," March 1943
- Royal Air Force, Washington D.C., B-25C "DESERT WARRIOR," Captain Ralph Lower's aircraft
