This 1/700-scale model kit of the Japanese Navy aircraft carrier Hiyo is based on her appearance during Operation A/Battle of the Marianas in June 1944. It reproduces the shape features that differ from her time of completion, such as blocked portholes as a countermeasure to unsinkability, and machine gun turrets that were increased since completion. This kit is loaded with details, and in-scale aircraft is included too: four each of the Zero Fighter Type 52, Zero Fighter Type 21 (loaded with bombs), Type 99 Carrier Bomber Type 22, and Tenzan Carrier Attack Aircraft, all molded in gray, as is the ship itself. Decals are included for the aircraft, for the stern ship name and white lines of the support pillars, and also for the flight deck markings and naval ensign. This is a waterline kit.
