This is an injection-plastic ship model kit.
Fujimi's latest 1/700-scale model kit of the Japanese Navy battleship Yamato recreates the world of the 2016 film "In This Corner (and Other Corners) of the World"! The kit includes a sea surface base to recreate the battleship Yamato sailing into Kure Naval Port!
- The model kit is based on the ship's appearance as she entered Kure Port, the setting of the story, after completing her refit in April 1944.
- A sea surface base for display is included. The molding color is clear green, recreating the sea surface color seen in the film.
- The ship's appearance in the film is reproduced, with the secondary guns on both sides removed to increase its anti-aircraft armament from 1944 onwards (the number of machine guns differs from her appearance in the film).
- Pre-painted photo-etched parts manufactured by Pit-Road are included. High-precision UV printing is applied to the highly flexible photo-etched parts to recreate the signal flag displayed when the ship entered Kure Port in the film.
- Each part is molded in color so painting is not required, and some parts can have stickers applied to create a more natural look.
- The snap-together design allows for easy assembly without glue.
