This is an injection-plastic ship model kit.
The multi-role mine warfare frigate "Mogami" class, referred to as 30FFM, is equipped with anti-mine warfare sonar, autonomous underwater mine detection UUVs, and surface unmanned mine removal USVs. It is the latest escort ship specialized in mine sweeping missions against advanced mines.
Stealth features have also been considered, with most of the equipment installed on the inside of the sloping hull, and distinctive unicorn-shaped composite antennas and conical masts with multifunction radars on all four sides, making it a vessel that stands out from conventional escort ships.
The third ship, "Noshiro," was commissioned in December 2022, and the fourth ship, "Mikuma," was commissioned in March of the following year. Both belong to the 13th Escort Fleet at Sasebo Base.
