The Tiger II was developed as the successor to the Tiger I, representing the culmination of German World War II heavy tanks. It featured the same powerful 88mm main gun as the Tiger I, but its longer barrel provided even greater penetration. The initial production run of 50 vehicles features a turret with curved armor at the front.
