The FGM-148 Type anti-tank missile joins Tomytec's "Little Armory" lineup! The FGM-148 Javelin is a portable anti-tank missile system developed in the United States. Its greatest feature is the "fire and forget" function, which allows the shooter to lock on to a target, fire, and then immediately retreat. Compared to older anti-tank missiles that required guidance until impact, this significantly improves the shooter's survivability. In addition, it has a "top attack mode" that launches the missile high to target thin upper armor, giving it the offensive power to destroy heavily armored tanks. The Javelin has been widely adopted by NATO countries, and is battle-proof, making it a well-known anti-tank missile system that is a symbol of modern warfare.
The firing sequence can be reproduced by attaching and detaching the sight and muzzle cover; a new tripod part is also included to make it a fixed gun. Decals are included for a more realistic finish. This weapon can be used as a display piece and also as an action toy! Two different types of CLU (sight) are included: a U.S. type and a British type.
